DRAABE - No. 1 in health, safety and service
As the first and so far only supplier of systems for direct room humidification, DRAABE has been awarded the "Optimised air humidification" certificate. This gives DRAABE system users a guarantee that they are operating a functionally reliable and perfectly hygienic system that has been put through a rigorous inspection. The basis of this certificate includes the requirements of the GS mark and the EuroTest mark. Furthermore it sets out additional requirements geared specifically to the use of air humidification systems.
"Optimised air humidification" inspection areas:
| Safety | The operating and hygiene functions of the air humidification systems must satisfy the applicable European and national directives, laws and standards |
| Health | A recognised hygiene institute uses a microbiological long-term test to check that the water treated for air humidification falls significantly below the permitted overall germ count. Once the units have been in use for two years, random field tests are conducted at the user's location, which repeat the microbiological examination for the permitted overall germ count. |
| Environment | Operation of the system must not place any excessive burden on the environment |
| Service | Professional advice, faultless technology, careful installation and detailed documentation by the manufacturer are also examined, including service schedules and maintenance activities by the manufacturer's trained personnel |
| Cost effectiveness | Review of lifespans, wearing limits and consumption data of the certified humidification system. |
Trust is good — inspection is better!
The certificate is awarded by Germany's Berufsgenossenschaft Druck und Papierverarbeitung (Institution for statutory accident insurance and prevention in the printing and paper processing industry). This does not mean that applications are limited to the printing and paper industry. The certificate applies both in Germany and worldwide for applications in all branches of industry where air humidification systems are employed.
It is the world's only test mark awarded specifically for air humidification systems and covers the currently achievable hygiene and technology standard.
